Lawmakers Fault CNN for Sniper Video(Fault? Treasonous!)
WASHINGTONPOST.COM ^ | October 24, 2006 | staff

A Republican lawmaker has asked the Pentagon to bar CNN reporters from traveling with U.S. military units in Iraq because the network showed insurgent snipers shooting at U.S. troops.

The footage, aired last week on CNN, does not show the death or wounding of any service member. In one instance, the tape shows a service member milling around a public area. A shot is fired, and the tape fades to black.

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said that airing the video was irresponsible because it could encourage more attacks on U.S. troops.

"Does CNN want America to win this thing?" Hunter asked yesterday on the network. In past wars, he said, the media was more pro-American.

"You can't be on both sides of the war," Hunter said.

CNN issued a statement saying that the decision was "a difficult one, but for a news organization, the right one. Our responsibility is to report the news." The video was delivered to the network through a contact with an insurgent leader.

In a letter released yesterday, Hunter and two other Republican House members from California asked Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld to remove CNN from the military embedding program, in which journalists spend time with combat units in Iraq.

"CNN has now served as the publicist for an enemy propaganda film," wrote Hunter and Reps. Brian Bilbray and Darrell Issa.

Remember, CNN does not call them "terrorist" they are "insurgents."

Its important to understand that the founder of this network is a UN, One World loving socialist and he truly believes that taking sides is wrong. And if you do take sides you should side with the weaker party.
There is an indoctrination at that network that can be felt as you watch even one segment.

Has anyone forgot about the US Marine who shot a terrorist who was pretending to be dead? The Marine shot the terrorist right in front of the CNN camera crew, and the first thing that CNN did was demand the Marine be brought up on charges of "murder!"

How about bringing murder charges against the terrorist sniper, and conspiracy charges against CNN! Having knowledge of a crime, and failure to act to prevent it, one is just as guilty as the terrorist who pulled the trigger!

The snipers/terrorists are "insurgents" or "freedom fighters". It hurts their feelings when they are labeled terrorists.

Please find and post all four of the advertisers CNN has left, so that we can complete the death of this terrorist outreach program.

I would but, I go under the knife today, in the hopes of regaining sight back in my left eye.

I am working with my fellow Soldiers to get a letter off to President Bush, demanding that he request a formal investigation into this sniper video, and the relationship between CNN and this terrorist leader who found it safe and confident enough to give this video to CNN and was confident that the video would be shown all across America! What a propaganda coup for the terrorist.

For the record, that Marine was EXONERATED OF ALL CHARGES AGAINST HIM.

They do not say anything because they are afraid that cnn and the rest of the msm will call them "mean spirited" and will not like them if they do.

Thank God for that! If CNN had their way about it, they would have brought further charges in the world Court. They have been pressing the US Congress to get the United States apart of the Court so they would have another place to prosecute American Soldiers.

Thank you for your service.

Brother in arms!

You can "thank me for my service" by contacting your Congressional representatives and the POTUS and voicing your OUTRAGE!

My fellow Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Veterans both living and dead and all their families deserve better than this!!!

I just got off the phone from Senator Collins office and encourage other families to contact their reps. CNN should loose any rights to embed with our troops over airing this video. Al-Jazeera isn't allowed to embed and CNN shouldn't be allowed either.

Well, someday, when CNN offices are firebombed and all over the world CNN "journalists" begin being picked off, I certainly hope they don't turn to the US government for help. After all, I'm sure they wouldn't want the government taking sides.
