This does not reduce the size and scope of the federal government. It may make it easier to know how the size and scope of the federal government is growing, but it reduces nothing.
The Republicans only slow the growth but they do not reduce it, and you can't point to any evidence that they do.

The Republicans have squandered opportunity after opportunity in their domestic agenda. As a party, they are not interested in shrinking federal authority.
I just picked one example since I know Coburn was working on that bill. It was signed by Bush and will help reduce size of government so that we aren't paying for BRIDGES TO NOWHERE in Alaska.
After 60 years of DUmocrat dominance, I take offense to those who expect change in less than one term....vote in more conservatives in state/local/federal government and purge all the ones who support welfare or other "GIMME" programs. Burn down the big tent!
