No matter how much lipstick you put on the Grand Old Pig, it is still a pig.

When you reward bad behavior, you get more of it.

Someday when Republican=Conservative, they will deserve the vote. Until then, there is not much difference between big spending, big government Rep. or Dem.

There is a world of difference.

Look at the justices that would not get through the
ratification process in the Senate. Alito and Roberts
would have had no chance under Majority Leader
Reid and Judiciary Chairman Shumer.

Under a Dem leader the Congress would have us pull
out of Afghanistan and Iraq with our tail between our
legs.

They are not the same.

I'm not sure having a GOP that's only marginally better than the Dems is good for the country.

I agree.

But you fix that during primary season.

You fix that by getting involved in your party at the grassroots level to field better candidates.

You don't fix that by electing a democratic majority.

In 1992 people thought they could teach the GOP a lesson by voting for Perot and gave us eight years (or more) of the damn dirty Clintons.
