You equate people who don't agree with you to Brown Shirts?? Where the hell did I say that?
Evidently you really don't know the historical significance of of that term.
I certainly do; it's people who cannot stand the fact that others do not agree with them and their agendas.
BTW, I did not direct that term to YOU; I directed it to the Unappeasables and Malcontents on this forum who believe we should all march in lockstep with them.

Since their guy got eliminated in the primaries, they are more than happy to do the footwork for the DUmocrats to undermine the Republican who won. Exactly!
Now picture this: what IF their guy won: would you have threatened to sit home?

Tell that to the 16 RINOs who were ousted by the grassroots in the PA primaries, and the dozens of others who have decided on a *cough* early retirement *cough* from politics. There was a run on Depends in the state RINOP offices.

"Wrong. I have worked hard in primaries here only to get bulldozed by the Republican Party! THEY are the ones that eat their own! I am sick of the "do it in the primaries" when they won't let us have one."
If there is a qualified challenger that wants to run they cant stop it!
Just this year Michigan's 7th district booted the incumbent RINO Joe Schwartz.
He lost the primary by 7% to the Very Very Conservative Tim Walberg.
Schwartz had the backing of the RNC, the state R party, the NRA ( never figure out why, he is anti-gun) and the White House.
We booted his too liberal a$$ because he didn't fit the views of this conservative district.
We didn't set around a whine that the establishment was fighting us, we just worked on it for 2 years and got it done!

Everyone has the right and responsibility to vote for whomever they wish. he should exercise his right to vote as he see fit.
having said that, I must disagree with his other premise:
"A party base that's mad as hell and no longer willing to rationalize GOP failures."
This is nonsense. The republican party's base will crawl on their hands and knees to the polls to vote for their party's candidates without regard for the candidate's fitness for office, or the candidate's record of .........................uh.... "compromise"

Show me a Congressional race where the Democrat is more conservative than the Republican. I'll wait for your answer. You won't wait long. I don't know of a single one. Rhode Island Senate
No.
Chafee, the worst of the RINO's has a lifetime 37% conservative rating according to the ACU.
The current Democrat senator from R.I., Reed has a 7% lifetime conservative rating from the ACU.
The Boxer/Mukulsi/Murray/Obama/Reed endorsed Sheldon Whitehouse is not going to vote anywhere near 37% of the time conservative.

You don't understand that YOU are the ones that believe we should all march in lockstep with YOU. Why can't you just except that people have other opinions of how the achieve the SAME goal?

You don't understand that YOU are the ones that believe we should all march in lockstep with YOU. Really? One of us is threatening not to support the GOP this year; now which one of us is mad because they didn't get their way?

What is the deal with that? I've gotten more Freepmails on this one thread than I have on any since I've been here.
If they have something to say, why not say it out loud on the thread?

Nobody called you or other posters "apostate".
The term was directed to "Republican" office holders who have turned their backs to the conservative base.
Tell me, who is the apostate: a sincere conservative poster who has a different way than others on how to advance the conservative cause, or a Lincoln Chaffee who did not even vote for his own President and brags about it?
But the tenor of many posters here is that Chaffee must get our unconditional support. I think not. He is an apostate.
