No surprise here. The Dems are linked at the hip to Big Labor.

I have to ask a question of my fellow FReepers...when you go to Wal Mart, does the 'Greeter' (aka Wal Mart Nazi) stop you demanding to see your receipt for the goods you purchased? I used to live in La., and it's common practice there, so much so that my wife wouldn't let me go with her to the store anymore, because I always refused...vocally.
I now live in Fl., and so far this has not happened.

Sams Club stores stop everybody and check and mark their receipt. Walmart? Only if you set off their security system.

that's funny I don't care who you are
I wonder how Hillary! will treat her previous Wal-Mart connection on the BoD as she campaigns for dictator in 08?

The Dems are linked at the hip to Big Labor And big labor is linked at the pocket, and brass knuckles, with organized crime.
What a cozy family.

On occasion, my receipt is confirmed.
I recognize the need on their part, and admire the contientous effort to keep prices low.

It happens from time to time to me in Florida.
At Costco, they won't let anyone out the door without showing their receipt. They even look over what you bought to make sure it's all listed.

I've only had them check my receipt on the way out at Sam's Club. The only time I've had them check a receipt as I came in at Wal-Mart was when I was bringing merchandise for return or exchange (which I don't have a problem with).
If by some odd chance they didn't get one of their anit-theft tags de-activated at the register and it set off the alarms on the way out I would just continue on my merry way. The receipt in my hand says that what I have in my shopping bag is my property and, unless they have a police officer there with a properly obtained search warrant, they have no business looking through my personal property.

That's OK. Democraps, BigBox and Re.pubic.hairs (in that order) are no friends of the Second Amendment that is a fine, for me, litmus test.
The left uses infantcide as their litmus test, I use the uninfringed Second Amendment.

Ann Coulter said it better, but it wasn't about WalMart:
"If Clinton (democrats) would have gone after terrorists with the zeal that he (they) went after smokers (WalMart), 9-11 wouldn't have happened."

The receipt in my hand says that what I have in my shopping bag is my property and, unless they have a police officer there with a properly obtained search warrant, they have no business looking through my personal property. DIN! DING! DING! We have a winner...that was the answer I was looking for.
Thing is, my brother-in-law used to work for Wal Mart in Loss Prevention. One day, a gentleman decided that he didn't want to pay for a $100 tool box, so he tried to steal it. When my brother-in-law and his partner confronted him about it, he threw the tool box and struck one of them in the head. Needless to say, they both proceeded to beat down this unfortunate soul.
When it was all said and done, my brother-in-law and his partner are out of a job, and...get this...the Manager tried to get them to sign documents stating that Wall Mart was not responsible for the shoplifters injuries (after he just fired them!). He signed in very big letters 'F U' and walked out.
Now I know that they can't detain you without the risk of being fired, I would simply ignore the demands.

I have no problem with this. Really? I do, they are basically accusing you of shoplifting until you prove otherwise.
I guess we just look at it differently...

If you were talking about the governemtn doing is, ala DUI road blocks, I would agree with you. But this is a private enterprise and thus I agree with Randall about it.

I kinda look a bit scary, so I'm kinda asking for it.
I just wish they'd start carrying W Ketchup...
WalMart has enough problems. I'm thinking some leftist is smearing yellow jacket attractant in the local WalMart parking lots. They're EVERYWHERE!
My philosophy is simple: Whatever the left hates, I support.

If Bush hating, being against the WOT and against American consumers getting the best buy for their $$ is the best these guys can come up with, I can hardly wait three weeks 'til the big E, polls be damned.
Oh yeah, and the Democrat Party that twisted "tolerance" of all the perverse amongst us that morphed into "acceptance"? Now they're on an hysterical homosexual witchhunt. That'll win 'em even more votes.
Bring it on!
