OK, I understand the confusion. My real point is this: Before the 2000 election, and even afterwards, I read the countless threads on this forum that stated 'By God, now with a Republican Congress and White House, Conservatives will finally be in charge and get something done!' Well, I haven't seen much get done, except new laws tht will, now or in the near future, curtail our liberties (CFR, patriot Act, etc.).

And now I'm seeing the same threads all over again, but this time I'm not buying it. I want the Republicans to be humbled...everyone needs to be humbled from time to time.

So...as a Nation- we should not abide by the laws of survival? And, instead- offer humble submission?

No you don't, CrawDaddyCA. You want perfection.

Or maybe you have always wanted the Democrats and their socialist agenda.

Who are you trying to kid anyhow?

"Humbling" those we disagree with is one thing--and it may be a good thing, (AT ANY OTHER TIME); being led to slaughter without putting up a fight, is another.

I would very much like to "humble" that lion who wants to eat me, but I am not going to put my head in his mouth to make it easier for him.

Read my post #24 and tell me if you feel the same way???

You may want the GOP humbled, but the likely outcome is that a liberal/socialist House will pass legislation that will largely be endorsed by a liberal Senate and President Bush will sign it. I think it is a myth that Bush will find his veto pen and use it extensively. The House is the only check on so many odious proposals now. The first out of the box is likely amnesty and a quick path to citizenship for 12 to who knows how many illegals. That will ensure Democrat majorities for the foreseeable future.

So apparently you still don't regret your Perot vote in 1992 that got us "co-presidents" Clinton? LOLOLOL! I guess I always knew there were people that thought like that, but it is interesting to see someone like that up close. I may have to start my "donate $20 to a GOP campaign" everytime I see something as short-sighted as this. (See my tag.)

BTW, this "do nothing" President has pulled us out of the ICC, Kyoto, toppled the Taliban, Saddam Hussein and his evil spawn sons, Qadaffi, and presided over the most robust economic recovery in DECADES while having to deal with the fall-out of the worst terrorist disaster on our soil and the worst natural disaster on our soil, while withstanding the daily, hourly assault of the treasonous media and treasonous left. The ONLY reason nothing has gotten done by Congress is the obstructionist perfidy of the left.

And, more importantly, you "outed" yourself with your ACLU-like complaints about the "patriot Act". The ONLY people who are concerned with curtailment of civil liberties in the Patriot Act are the same ones who are in favor of terrorist protection. Go try to sell THAT one somewhere where people don't know better.
