I think the Anna P.-Journalist really was a traitor. At least Russia knows how to treat its traitors. We celebrate traitors in America, or least give them full tenure at a local university.

The main topic of her articles were alleged atrocities allegedly comitted by the Russian military or its allies in Chechnya.

I don't know whether that was true or not but Russian public ignored her articles in general because it had and has little sympathy for such matters.

AFAIK, her role can be compared to Jane Fonda's during the US Vietnamneese expedition, the difference is that JF is alive.
