The House GOP party needs to be reelected because of immigration, the issue where Bush has pissed off a lot of us. The Senate GOP needs to be maintained in spite of itself in order to allow Bush to get at least a few good nominees through.

Now, that's a post I needed. I've been putting up with mindless Bushbots throwing insults and party propaganda around, insisting everyone vote Republican but giving no reasons. You've summed it up admirably. Wish the others could be as articulate and intelligent. (I don't know where they came from, but I'm ashamed that they call themselves Republicans.)

No one was giving Bush a harder time over the past few months than me--but from a conservative perspective. But the solution is not to sit out and let the Dems take over the war effort, or do any of the other things that they would do to harm this country. I was always going to vote for the GOP, but while holding my nose and working to increase conservative influence in the party. Now, the Dems have got me fired up to work hard for their defeat, and I think they have had the same effect on others. This will be a shocker for the Propaganda Press.

We still have to work to get a better group of candidates in '08. I think it is essential to have a dynamic conservative Presidential candidate, someone who can nationalize the election, energize the base, and bring the moderates in line while responding to the sniping from the press in a more effective way than Bush has.
