Dear FRiends:

Yesterday and today....I have been with Richard at the hospital from early morning until late evening so this is the first time I have been able to acknowledge the many heartfelt prayers posted on this thread by my dearest FReeper FRiends.

The update I sent Nauti Nurse yesterday is in post #194 and this is my update for Tuesday:

Richard was up walking today .... less than 24 hrs after surgery.
He still has many tubes and will have no food for several days but his blood pressure, pulse, temp & blood oxygen level are good.

He's a bit uncomfortable but has self administered pump for pain meds. He's in good spirits.

Your prayers for his healing and peace for me are so much appreciated. Several times on Monday while he was in surgery I became anxious but then a feeling of serenity would flow over me.....I could feel your prayers!
