Thanks for the ping!
As little as we all may think of either of them, Kerry is the main obstacle to Hillary's 2008 run for the nomination. He will gaffe his way through the next 18 months, which will end at the the beginning of the "real" part of the 2008 presidential campaign. In the meanwhile, Hitlery's allies will be doing everything they can to undermine Kerry and Wes Clark (who appears to be angling for a VP nod from Kerry, although that is just a wild guess). IMHO it's in the interest of conservatives to have the Born Loser from Massachusetts as the 2008 nominee, while enjoying the the damage inflicted by his own mouth and his rivals. Hillary has very strong negatives, but would win against anyone in 2008, except McCain.

You're right. His anger at losing in '04 has only added to the many reasons he will never be President. Comments like the one yesterday followed up with digging a deeper hole today are reasons I am so glad he isn't and won't be President.
"John McCain, their leading candidate didn't he get kicked around South Carolina by the same president because he wasn't patriotic enough as a prisoner of war? He's now their leading candidate for president," Kerry said of the Republican Party. "Richard Nixon seemed to get kicked around pretty badly both running for president and governor, turned around and came back and got elected president."So, John, in other words, McCain will "come back" and get elected president? I get a laugh out of people who think John Kerry is articulate.
The real question here, philosophically, is, did he deserve his 1st chance to run? ;') And we all know the answer to that. The only nominee who would have been better for the Pubbies was Howard Dean or Dennis Kucinich -- they would have dragged the whole slate down into defeat.
Very funny!!!
If Hillary runs in 2008 (and most of us think she will), I expect something unpleasant will derail Kerry's campaign. Nobody should think lightly of getting in the way of the Clinton cabal.
Hitlery would be the lone voice in favor of nationbuilding in Iraq if Lieberman loses; to lay down cover fire for herself, she's come out in favor of some ridiculous internationalist approach for US foreign policy. If Lieberman wins, and the Dhimmicrats don't take over the Senate (which looks like what will happen), she can join forces with Joe to try to get that new direction goin' with him, and to show everyone just how forgiving she is of his impeachment-era speech against Slippery Bill. Also, Lamont's defeat (and Angelides' defeat, and failure to take over the House as well as the Senate) will probably mean the end of Howard Dean as DNC chairman, and decline in the influence of A.N.S.W.E.R. and MoveOn.
