I don't recall anyone blaming Democrats initially, although it was the first thing that crossed my mind. It was probably almost a week into the scandal when I first heard of anyone connecting the scandal to Dems.

Well Demonrats don't cover up their sex scandals. The revel in them, they applaude and elect men who have illicit sex even if it is with a minor they got drunk. Gerry Studds was allowed to stay in the Democratic Party and was allowed to turn his back on the people that tapped him on the wrist.
