Clint Eastwood went from a stereotyped "tough guy" actor in the 1950's and 1960's to perhaps the most respected director out there today. He's won two Best Director Oscars and given the fact he's enormously well-liked in the movie industry (mostly because he does great films without busting the production budget) I wouldn't be surprised that Eastwood wins another Best Director Oscar for Flags of Our Fathers.

It's probably going to be very difficult to beat "The Departed" for any Oscars this year.
