Just imagine what the NYT and today's dems and libs would have to say about how we treated the enemy on Iwo. They didn't get lawyers, miranda rights, geneva rights or any thing like that. It's a shame, but I doubt a victory like Iwo is possible in today's climate.

When I was stationed in Japan I got to go to Iwo Jima for training several times. Until you get there you can't get a picture for how small the island is. Then you think of how many people died there and it really hits you.

That is the problem with today's news media. You could drag them there and give them a history lesson (since most probably don't know why Iwo is important) and they still wouldn't get it.
