just because he talks with an accent - doesn't mean he is a thug. and for sure, this accident will bring about stricter regulation of private aviation over manhattan. and it should. Why should it bring more regulation over NYC? Accidents happen. This one caused a small fire and four deaths. Sorry. Move on. Terrorists can kill more people using simpler methods, and knee-jerk restrictions on law-abiding citizens means that "the terrorists have won." hackneyed, sure, but if we now distrust people who fly planes, then who is next? truckers? anyone in an SUV coming into NYC? Where does it stop?

Dietl has a point. It is a little silly for that area to be unrestricted space. Its just the wrong climate for that. Safety suggests a change.

Has nothing to do with terrorists. Amateurs piloting potential bombs over extremely densely populated cities is just unwise. They can fly around it.

'The plane left New Jersey's Teterboro Airport, just across the Hudson River from the city, at 2:30 p.m., about 15 minutes before the crash, according to officials at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport. But they said they did not where the aircraft was headed.'
My company has a maintenance facility at Teterboro, hate to sound selfish, but I hope we didn't work on it.

I can't carry toothpaste onto a commercial plane.
But you can load anything onto a small plane, and fly without restriction, anywhere.
something is wrong with this picture.
