Showed me who is still in charge in his life (t'ain't God) and that his ego deflation seemed non-existant. As we both know this is a critical shift that has to happen at one point if one is to achieve long term sobriety.
Although I think it is wise to be empathic for his struggles, there are also real consequences for his behavior when he puts down the alcohol. He know longer have the excuse of alcohol--just shows his recovery is very, flimsy, as his big ego is still in charge--not a good sign for a recoverying alcoholic.
I just pray that he stays sober, finds God, turns his will and life (and mouth) over, works the steps daily and helps other. Congrats on your recovery!!
