I don't hate Mel Gibson. I actually like him as an actor and as a director. Now if he would just learn how to control his tongue and think before he speaks.
I suggest that Mel experiences conflict between what he believes and what he can publicly say. For example, in the interview with Diane, Mel clearly felt that Israel deserved a lot of blame for the war with Lebanon, but didn't want to say that because of the flack he'd get for doing so. I feel that he just needs to say exactly what he feels and believes, and then let honest debate begin.
