fyi, AmerIndians were/ARE hated just as fiercely as Blacks ever were in this country. the DARKER skin you had/have, the worse the PREJUDICE was/IS expressed by the HATERS. (not only was my dad QUITE dark-skinned, but he married my mother in 1941. Mixed marriages were REALLY UNpopular with the BIGOTS.)
my dad fought the klan-IDIOTS & other HATERS from the 1930s, throughout WWII & until his death in 1966.
my civil rights activist days, otoh, were in the mid-60s & 70s, after the WORST was over.
i'm PROUD to say that i was one of THOUSANDS of students that marched on Memphis with MLK, Jr for "garbageman's rights. btw, MLK marched UNDER a 6x6 foot CSA battleflag at Memphis!
MLK, Jr was SMART enough to KNOW (UNlike today's DIMocRATS,lunatics, LEFTIST haters & so-called "civil rights leaders") that the battleflag is the flag of dixie LIBERTY, rather than a racist anathema.(btw, we southerners in the movement took our battleflags to AL,GA,LA & MS with us & flew them PROUDLY!)
