I suppose the early Church fathers, including Ignatius of Antioch who wrote "Where the bishop appears, there let the people be, just as where Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." in his letter to the Smyrneans in 107 AD, got it all wrong and you Johnny-Come-lately's are the ones who got it right. Guess that means you'd argue that Scripture is wrong when it calls the Church the pillar and foundation of truth. The same Church which predated Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, et al for nearly 15 centuries.
