You obviously did not understand the MG. You have to treat (her) like you would your wife. Stroke her regularly, tune her constantly, keep her well oiled and pampered.
When you do all this you will have to opportunity to take her out in public and be admired by one and all. She was a joy to ride in, to drive and kept the feel of the road that few cars can do. Ignore her (the MG) needs and you will be plagued with nothing but problems and you will curse yourself for even bothering to buy her.

I didn't see MGB on that list. A car that spends most of its life on blocks in a garage leaking oil is not much of a threat to anyone. Unless it falls off the blocks and lands on someone or one of the kids slips on the oil spill.

I didn't see MGB on that list. You owned an MGB also, huh? That was the cutest lil' pup, and could steer on a dime - on the occasions it wasn't in for repairs. But the biggest problem was the *%?!#$!!! British-made electrical system.
There's nothing like the thrill of driving at night on a freeway with a lot of 18 wheelers and having all the MGB lights go out. The truckers couldn't see you anymore, but you could still see their hubcaps at eye level.
The funniest thing is, though, that I still have fond memories of a few fun times with it. When it was good it was very, very good, but when it was bad......:)
