I became a conservative courtesy of Any Rand, "We the Living" , "Atlas Shrugged" the rest, what a philosophy, doesn't get much better.

I was conservative before reading Ayn Rand but her books provided me the reasoning and understanding that supported my beliefs. She helped me counter the university profs who kept spouting the leftist line.

When I was in college, reading Ayn Rand at night, there was turmoil as well probably how stuff like the following got started:

They could see the universities own police "failing" to take action to defend the rights of the speaker, who was being hosted by the Republican Club of Columbia Univ.(amazed that they even have one at such a commie school)....After all that a Columbia spokesperson blamed the victims(pubbie club, minutemen) for inciting the chaos."

It appears to me that many of us save a lifetime to send our kids to the best schools we can find. Columbia is supposed to be ivy league and should be one of the best. Yet, what do we find? A campus totally infiltrated by leftists from top to bottom with a student population that would curl the hair of most any parent spending his hard-earned to put his kid in the finest school he can find.

Their is a cure however, ban these schools, search out the colleges and universities that have values that show respect for "all" not just the chosen few. Ban the Columbia's, hit them where it hurts in the moneybag.
