The lawyer has been hired to make sure his client gets all his rights. Last thing he's going to do is admit the guy is guilty of a half dozen crimes.

Likely. Why else does the "victim" page need a famous DEFENSE lawyer? Does not compute otherwise. The lawyer said he couldn't say *why* he was hired but said, 'you've read the IMs, you known why he needs a lawyer.'

I'm with you.

The way I see it, when someone will "neither admit nor deny," that's an admission. Obviously, if the allegation were false, the person would simply deny it, or to use Jones' words "rule it out."
