Europe Is Growing Skeptical Of Dialogue With Muslims (excellent article)
The NY Sun ^ | 10/6/2006 | YOUSSEF IBRAHIM

After years of dithering over political correctness with Muslims and Islam, Europe is waking up to a different morning.

A three-week tour of Italy, France, and Britain last month was enough for me to conclude that Western Europeans have moved way beyond dialogue. Confrontation, indeed even provocation, is their preferred approach to the Muslims in their midst.

Long before Pope Benedict XVI's scathing comments in mid-September on the fallacy of phony Muslim-Christian dialogue, signs of hardening European views toward current Islamic values were plentiful on the Continent

I guess we do.

The problem with Islamic Countries is Islam.

Islam is replete with inherent social problems. It does not permit the separation of state and church. Unlike the Middle Ages in Europe, with which its often compared, The Medieval Church influenced society. It wasn't society itself. In Islam, Islam is both society and a religion. And Sharia Law which represents the social expression of Islam is brutal, barbaric, inhuman and inhumane.

Those so-called Muslims who claim to follow Islam and do not ascribe to the teaching of Mohammad are not true Muslims. Osama bin Laddin, aside from supporting "suicide" bombers is a true Muslim.

Despite the fact that the masses of Muslims are not terrorists, they tacitly support them.

Islam can generate millions of demonstrators worldwide over the Pope quoting a long-dead emperor, or a Danish cartoonist satirizing Mohammad.

But it can't generate a few thousand Muslims, or even a few hundred for that matter, supporting the removal of a fiend like Saddam, condemning the World Trade Tower bombing, or condemning the brutal execution of innocent hostages. It can't because the "silent majority" of Muslims, while not terrorists themselves, support the Terrorist goal, and that goal is the total destruction of civilization and the imposition of an Islamic REICH on the entire world from Japan to America and South America.

I don't think there were millions of moosie protesters over the pope's statement. Thousands is more like it. They make a lot of noise, the media reports it, and the public thinks it means millions or hundreds of thousands.

Hitler wasn't the only one to conduct pogroms, while I would welcome dealing with the Muzzie problem I will remain cautious that any shift could be exploited by more radical groups to the detriment of other minorities within Europe. Jews, Romani and Slavs have been favorite targets over the years.

Where is the outcry over murdered Christians, burned Churches and threats to kill the Pope?

Nowhere.

Silent speaks louder than words. I think MOST MUslims support these demonstrators or they would speak out - womehow and they do not. They never have. In the few instances where any concern has been expressed, it is always tempered with equivocation and poiting fingers at the west.

And it has been too long since 9-11 and other terrorist acts for them to claim their silence amounts to anything but the appearance of approval. What they don't see happening is that the western world is slowly turning its back on the lot of them and they will indeed suffer for their silence.
