The guy was a predator - one who knew exactly where the legal lines were drawn.
Actually, not a predator if he didn't break the law. Maybe disgusting to most people, primarily because he was more than twice his partner's age. But not a predator, a term that requires a victim or prey.
If you don't like the laws, change them. In fact, please do. Until then, this Jordan episode is consenting cybersex conducted between two adults. There was no victim, given what we now know.

You're right, not legally a predator. The guy was very careful. (and I've learned a bit more since my earlier post.)
I now think of Foley more as a troll. From what I've read so far, he never tried to arrange a physical liason with anyone under 18.
The "cybersex IM's" with Edmund apparently occurred after he was 18 - consenting adults. Not my cup o' tea, but not my business.
