They thought they could throw the Republicans into disarray too close to the election for the Pubbies to come up with a defense.

It'll probably work in creep Foley's district, but it's starting to look like the DemocRATs are mostly going to shoot themselves in the foot again.

We can only hope. And vote, of course.

Hastert was clearly an afterthought. They were hoping Foley would hold on. I must admit, it's the most nimble thinking I've seen from Dems in a long time.
