Yes, it's called "pretexting." The former CEO of Hewlett Packard just resigned and was indicted for doing that.

Thanks for the info!I was thinking of the Hewlett Packard thing, but the kid is going to claim this was just an innocent prank that got out of control. I am thinking that it's starting to look not so innocent to me,,,,,,,,
