Republicans should police their own. From the very beginning of the complaint they should have taken measures to end Foley's career. Not only because he could be a liability, but to most importantly protect 16 yr. boys that were sent to Washington to learn about our government and not be preyed on by 52 yr. old gay congressman!

Respecting your apparent sincerity in your outrage at Republican lack of appropriat response, I ask you to consider that high school juniors volunteer to become Congressional Pages in order to be near Congressmen. Congress members are encouraged to have communication with the pages. It is a variation of any other apprenticeship program.

Please consider relaxing your all or nothing attitude on what Hastert should or should not have done with a fellow congressman, when all that was known was that one former page's parents asked that Foley not contact their child.
