Sounds perfectly plausible to me. I have a 17 year old son of my own and have raised two more beyond that age. Although I don't think my sons would do such a thing, I have known 17 year olds who would do this sort of thing in a heartbeat and then laugh until they puked.
I wish these young jokesters would have you know told the Speaker, or the page board people instead of letting Foley keep harassing the new pages coming in. Yes they were young, but jerks but I guess that is pretty normal.
