The instant messages in question apparently started appearing just after a group called "CREW" was formed in early April 2003... this is the group which has been involved in the Delay case, suits against Cheney & Rumsfeld I think, and in a number of other attempts at undermining various congressmen.

I notice it's a group which popped up early in this effort aimed at Foley as well.

Do you think CREW recruited Edmund to go after Foley in the AOL IM chats? Maybe they got Foley's AOL screen name from Kirk. Or maybe Kirk was using Foley's AOL account.
