According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

There have no records we know of to back up their claims, only verbal accussations that repeat phrases in no infamous IM's. Copycats? Could be. Especially considering brian Ross didn't even break this on ABC news tonight!
If ABC has a credible scoop why in the hell not break it on their own network, yet no word at all!
ABC has decided it wants to be the CBS of this election cycle, and Ross the new Rather.
Notice that none of them come forth with their names (although they're all now between 21 and 24,25 years old). ABC claims that the accusations are based on verbal accounts of e-mails (where are the original e-mails? How has this been verified?) One of the men was 17 but his state was not mentioned, which leads me to believe he was of the age of consent in his state. The other mentions that Foley did not directly proposition him until he was over 18.
Again, where's the story here?

Oh you know that if ABC had proof positive it would be all over the place by now. They are hoping people will be stupid enough to believe what they say without proof. But guess what, we demand it.

I understand. But nowhere in the US is gay behavior illegal, as long as it involves those over the age of consent and is not forcible (due to the Lawrence US Supreme Court decision.)

Exactly--that is why we need to expose the dims now, so people can see their unscrupulous tactics and how it is actually THEY who are power hungry and will stop at nothing to get it.
