According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

CNN just had a stmt on from a family in LA, saying they want to be left alone and they think this is all ended. Cnn does not think that and wants to continue to go on and on and on..... saying that it is not hard to kind out who this 16 year old in Monroe LA is...
I don't know, there was a poster here last night, who said that he knew the family of another page that was in the same class as Edmonds. The kid doesn't want to get involved, but h was willing to say that Edmonds was gay, that they knew withing 10 minutes of meeting him and that he enjoyed the whole gay scene.
That said, I thought from the beginning that Edmonds was just playing Foley for a fool and leading him on. Also, I read that Edmonds bragged at his fraternity about having the IMs.
The kid calls himself a political activist, describes himself as the most insensative (sic) guy you will ever meet, and was caught playing the mole for Istook in the primary (caught by one of our own posters).
Last, the blog of the rabid gay activist claimed to have flown Edmonds out to verify all the information.
What do you mean he wasn't "doing that"? He sent an e-mail to a page asking for his picture. In and of itself it seems innocent enough, but I think knowing what we know now its pretty clear he probably had bad things in mind when he did it. The guy was a well-known pervert. There's nothing to debate about that. End of story.
And thanks for the tip, but I don't generally use people in the habit of defending gay perverts for carreer advice.

Some of them have a long record of siding with the rats and the MSM in any of these stories immediately and demanding the head of the accused repubie immediately.

He did it, but he was the victim, not the victimizer ---and I think the kid is still lying. The kid fancies himself to be the next Chris Lehane, only he's not smart enough. He's just a college drop out that can't spell.
Publishing the "prank" turns into defamation at some point. Best to have a lawyer handy ~ one who knows some murderers preferably! You may need them.
