CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.
Developing...
What is up with these gay site and gay people... who want the rest of the world to be gay? Their agenda sets me on mars.... I just don't see why they come off expecting the rest of us to feel their gay pride.
That's this activist's specialty. He's a snake.
Thanks.
No wonder Edmunds lawyered up......... Good grief.
So Foley needs to be hung by his neck even if there's no proof that he did anything illegal? Darn that Bill of Rights!
I never said that Foley committed a crime, in fact, it's unlikely that he did.
I used ambiguous terms, because there is somewhat of a disconnect between the law and what people feel, on this subject. I am also 52 years old. I try to imagine myself having a sexual interest in a 17 year old girl. Even if I were single, and it were legal where I live, it wouldn't feel right. I'm sure that this didn't feel right to Foley, either.
I wouldn't be bringing up God and comparing. God destroyed whole cities. "Those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them." (Prov. 24:25).
I second letsgonova19087's statement... except he understates what I would say...
Foley needs to be hung by the neck... you can bet your bottom dollar that not only did Foley get duped by this kid, but that Foley more than duped a few other kids in more ways than one.
By their fruits you shall know them. Foley starts as a bad fruit and it only goes down hill from there.
For "conservatives" you two are kinda creepy...almost like Phelps' group. How do you know Foley "duped" other kids? You have info about who held the IM's?
The Dem didn't know this was all fake, but they were willing to let young children suffer at the hands of an evil pedophile until they could get a clear political advantage.
The Dems also didn't bother investigating the source ~ if they had they'd found this stuff was just BS.
Remember, for Democrats and Liberals, it's the seriousness of the charge, not the truthfulness of the accusation.
I've seen only one Republican cancel an appearance with Denny.
Clearly FOX is more interested in rumor mongering right now then checking out their stories.
I didn't read all of the IMs, but in one that I did read, the "kid" lied and said that he was under 18, and Foley said that he knew that.
At least we are honest about our feelings, the Dems are...pardon the pun...outing themselves as hypocrites.
This gibson show is like tabloid tv!!!
My "piss" applies to the people who use the Congressional Page program, or any other DC internship program, as a way to score youngns'. If they be Republican, Democrat, Communist, whatever. My question is, how come the GOP leadership hasn't been shouting from the highest mountain the story of the MA guy who was into interns in the 80s (his name escapes me)
ditto - anyone who knows teenagers should have been able to see that possibility. It's not as if Foley forced the communications to continue. IMs are used for "chat" not one-way messages.
And perfect hair Major Garrett is doing the rumor mongering.

right.
That's why foley resigned and the entire leadership of the stupid party is in full-denial meltdown mode.
No one is stupid enough to believe this.
If I knew that I wouldn't be missing it now, would I? ;)
