I believe in the second ammendment to the U.S. Constitution just as much as you do. I just think guns and schools is a bad mix. I agree with others on this post that fully trained professionals in law enforcement should be the ones carrying firearms providing security for our schools and campuses. I do understand that schools in general have become a zoo due to parental neglect in teaching their children/students the difference between right and wrong and parents must bear the lion's share in this failing. In this instance, what worries me is the possibility of a teacher becoming unhinged and shooting up students(two way street). That's why I cringe a little bit at the thought of schools/guns mix. If you look at my posting record, you will find that I'm just as conservative as you all. I did not mean to upset any of you, I just think schools/guns is a bad mix.

I hope I didn't come on too strong or offend. I just get my hackles up when people lump teachers all in the same pile. I hate having to leave my gun in my car every day.
Hopefully, no hard feelings.
" the possibility of a teacher becoming unhinged and shooting up students..."
This is possible, but it is not the reality of what is happening today in our schools.
The reality of what is happening is the just the opposite.
Having teachers and principals like " the lastbestlady " trained and checked out should be one small piece of the solution.
