U.S. satellites spot nuclear activity

AMERICAN spy satellites have detected unusual activity at a suspected North Korean nuclear test site, suggesting that Pyongyang is preparing to carry out its threat to explode an underground atomic device. A US official said: “We have seen some activity in the area — personnel, vehicles, materials, things of that nature.”

The movements were spotted recently at one of a number of suspected sites that are closely monitored by the Americans. The official insisted that the findings were not conclusive.

The Pentagon assessment was expected to heighten tension in the region, where China, Japan and South Korea all appealed to the regime in Pyongyang not to carry out its threat to detonate an underground nuclear device.

Last night Christopher Hill, the US Assistant Secretary of State, said that Washington had warned North Korea not to conduct the test. “We are not going to live with a nuclear North Korea,” he said.

We won't touch Iran or Syria, what makes you think that we would do anything to North Korea? Only wishful thinking.

Can and will are two different things, and silly people like you are the main reason. We can also of course blockade North Korea, or further restrict any supply reaching them by less direct means. We have scads of means of pressure to apply, from D5s down to mere rhetoric.

Seems to me that both the Iranian and North Korean leaders should get a simple direct message from us and our allies. Basically tell them that if a nuclear explosion (test) is detected within their borders, the leaders and everyone within XX miles will annihilated within thirty minutes.

Yeah, right. Who is going to stop him. Politicians with their useless dribble?

How can you call me silly because I say this country won't do anything about the situation except make simple requests? That would not be my idea of how to handle the situation IF the situation is a nasty as we are being led to believe.
