At least Paul Weyerick recanted on his call for the speaker to step down. Now, we need the other fair weathered Republicans who did call for Hastert to step down, to step up, appologize to Hastert and close ranks. We have the goods of the left. We need to go on the offense and attack. Take no prisoners. ABC has to be exposed as does the left and I strongly suspect the DNC, and the democrat leadership.

One irony here (among many) is that the Rats fully expected that they would be able to use this mess to peel off the "religious right" and divide the base.
Instead, several leaders in the "religious right" have made lemons of themselves and, in the process, possibly damaged their standing in the party, thus making them less rather than more influential.
