Can you explain to me why a young man, or woman, would continue to IM with somebody that was making indecent remarks? And then save the messages? I really don't understand that at all.

17 year olds would be more patient with such a game and this was roughly 10 years ago It was a different Internet then and not that many warnings were out there. People were still using Windows 95 because 98 wasn't even on the market. It was a 17 year old kid at the time. Maybe he thought a friend was playing games etc. According to the interview the converattions started out innocent enough so it seems and did not seem a threat at first. I will say this much the boy would have to have been recommended for the duty by an old name Conservative Republican second generation. He did mention his name on TV though and his hometown it is south east.
