I would be very happy to vote for any true conservative who is tough as nails, connects with the moderates and is ELECTABLE. At this time, there are none.

2008 is going to very hard to win,...

So the winning strategy is capitulation?

The winning strategy is coming up with a powerhouse candidate, the reps are facing an uphill battle with millions of immigrants registering to vote, and endless demonizing by the MSM. One of Bush's worst moves is not picking a powerhouse VP to groom for the future presidency. Just because a candidate appeals to the religious ideologues is not enough, has never been enough.

Bush 1 would NEVER EVER have been elected president if he weren't a VP of a trusted president.

As Ronald Reagan said: "There you go again."

The "God, Gays, Guns" slur is not going to work...

I am an atheist, and I will not capitulate by voting for a liberal.

Jeb Bush would beat the pants off of anyone in a general election...

Is he my ideal candidate? No.

Instead of threats, you must come up with a powerhouse electable. In a perfect world, this would not be necessary, but we are in a battle with the forces of evil.

I am an atheist, I do not believe in "evil."

Be that as it may, Limbaugh said it well... 'When the "good" compromises with the "evil," the "good" always loses...

Capitulation is not a winning strategy...

Evil is just a word for the forces that threaten our very existence. What word would you prefer?

Does my Constitutional Second Amendment RIGHT end at the New York city limits? That is a greater question... I am the NRA... and I vote...

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

The right to bear arms is nonnegotiable, but can we live with a President who is tough on the war and crime but not supportive of the second amendment if he doesn't actively work to erode it?

Whoa! I forgot all about that guy, I love JC Watts! What is his take though, is he into running? It seems to me every potential candidate the Repubs always come up with always back down and all we are left with is once again a question mark and the Hellary problem. Oh maaaan, if this guy ran he would absolutely liquidate the beast in a debate! She would probably even drop out once she knew someone would confront her like he would.. "Democrats are race hustling poverty pimps!" Freggin` awesome!

The record shows the man actively worked to erode the Second Amendment... I am the NRA, and I vote...

not a candidate, not a politician.

If the war on terror is the single most important consideration, we do not need a politician...

Nobody is a candidate, nobody has announced they were running...

He's not a candidate, because he is not a politician. Donald Rumsfeld is a is a professional executive branch employee. He will not run for the office. Its not his makeup.

And she won't be running. I'll bet my mortgage that Rummy is not a factor in 08. All this shows is how hard it is to find a real man in this feminized country of ours.(smile)
