They will accept gifts and offerings meant in the spirit of Christ's love and Christian fellowship.

I've seen many barnraisings in Millersburg, Sugar Creek, and all over Holmes County here in Ohio.

They are quite willing to pitch in for each other (it's their duty to sacrifice for others), but outside help from the English (what they call all other-than-Amish people) is not something they accept readily.
