"What makes me angry and disappointed is the denial by Hastert that he knew anything about Foley's issues on Friday."

What I understood is that Mr. Hastert was reacting to the more serious allegations related to the IMs.

I think this blogger may need to take a chill pill.

It is hard to know what is going to be revealed. I have read the email - not the IM's - mentioned the kids "hot body" and Hastert's office wrote Shimkus' statement.

I know there are a lot of rumors etc but I would be shocked if Folwy wasn't involved in a lot more than emails and IM's and I would be shocked if Hastert was ignorant of what was going on

House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) told The Washington Post last night that he had learned this spring of some "contact" between Foley and a 16-year-old page. Boehner said he told House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.), and that Hastert assured him "we're taking care of it."

UPDATE: I was reading a last-night version of that piece. It now says:

"House Majority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) told The Washington Post last night that he had learned this spring of inappropriate "contact" between Foley and a 16-year-old page. Boehner said he then told House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.). Boehner later contacted The Post and said he could not remember whether he talked to Hastert."

*Come on...something stinks bigtime
