There appears to be a bunch of people who seem anxious to suppress their moral compass in order to view this matter through the limited prism of their political compass. If that is your particular understanding in this matter, I need for someone to tell me the difference between conservatives and Democrats.

The only option is a clear and absolute condemnation of what sits in front of us. What is morally correct is also politically astute. Those of you who choose to wallow in this moral relativism claiming that "we are not as bad as them" are destined to practice their politics in a sewer along with those that we oppose.

There is NO ONE on this website who has accepted what Foley did as ok. NO ONE.

The problem is that the rats, who are oh so worried about children, sat on this information until it was politically useful. How many children did Foley interact with while the Dems sat on this information?

We aren't as bad as them.

Where is William Jefferson? In Congress.

Where is Barney Frank, the landlord of a "madam"? In Congress.

How many times did Gerry Studds, who actually did the deed with an underage male page get re-elected afterwards? Five.

What more do you want us do to? Commit violence?

(1) Foley should resign. He should be drummed out of the party. He should be investigated, charged and convicted if he's committed any crimes. And he should get the max.

(2) However the timing of all this demonstrates that Foley isn't the only criminal: Democrat activists have clearly known for months, and have been able to prove for months, that Foley was a sexual predator.

A good citizen who cared about the welfare of his fellow citizens would have reported Foley as soon as they had hard evidence.

But these Democratic activists decided to wait for months until just before the election to reveal the information.

People could have been victimized while they waited, but they didn't care.

It was more important for them to score a political point than to do the right thing.

Personally, the fact you can't see beyond the end of your nose to be sickened by the fact that people did know about Foley and let him serve for months-years, and those people did NOT include Hastert but rather the Dem party, their activists and the media, says everything I need to know about you.
