It was the same with all those Brokeback Mountain threads a few months back. Ironically many of the comments on those thread were probably far more explicit than anything in that movie. It was thoroughly unpleasant to read.
Perhaps they're getting some perverse sexual satisfaction out of doing it, I don't know, but one has to wonder.
I have to say I agree with you that the FR TOU seems to be drifting out the window sometimes. Witness the amount of profanity on some of the threads and the stuff you mentioned.

They are some strange individuals in the world. Some of them have computers and internet access.
This site is better in the "ick" regard than just about any others.
