I would surmise that in this case it's a man-to-man relationship, while "hot-for-teacher" crowd's issue is a man-to-female relationship.
That's all I can think of. I mean, afterall, I was never lucky with my female teachers as a youngster. Darn it! I'm an anachronist.
The teacher thing is just as bad, if not worse. It doesn't matter if it's gay or straight, the adult is stealing from the kid.
