Dealers do buy pits, but the kid selling quarter bags is not that kind of dealer.

Mom's last name, Woodyear; two of the children, Bradley; one child, Perez. The eldest sells drugs from apartment. Pit bull in household of a drug dealer--now there's a surprise. (rolling eyes)

If the dog lost control when it was running away from the police, it could've been because the first bullet elicited the response, not that the dog wasn't aggressive as claimed by the officers. Of course, it was only doing what it was supposed to do, protecting its territory/people. But the officers, if truly threatened, were doing what they were supposed to do. The family can get another dog; yes, I know it won't be the same, but it's not on the level of a person getting torn up.

If only we could ship all these nickel dime home invading drug swats to Iraq. They could do some real work for America busting down doors with guns on fire looking for "insurgents."

Course they would be too chickenshift for that. Pot smokers are easy targets. Insurgents would fight back.

Probably. Do I think Waco was a bunch of trumped up BS? Yup. Do I think that most MSM stories on police events are half assed like everything else they report on? Yup. Why don't these so called conservatives hold the MSM to the same standard on negative cop stories as they do on negative conservative stories?

Well, hero, why aren't you there kicking ass and taking no prisoners? I know, I know. You've already served 13 tours, and won the MOH.

The cops should be fired. This dog killing nonsense has to stop. It's bad enough they are kicking down doors to find a plant for the failed war on some drugs. Killing harmless pets is unacceptable.

'Hildy, Pit Bulls are no more aggressive than their owners allow them to be."

"And you notice the behavior of the 11 year old who tried to punch the cop?"

Sorry metmom. but you're wrong. What would your reaction be if you woke up and found a shotgun pointed at your face. I know that I would come up swinging. It's a natural response.

Chidren of inner city villains and hoodlums who have no respect for the police or others. Who did you think?

I suspect that these stories will lead to changes in the drug laws eventually, simply because people think this is too heavy handed.
It is too heavy handed and change has begun. Many judges, prosecutors and cops who are on the front line of the drug war have said we need to stop this madness.

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition:
"The stated goals of current U.S.drug policy -- reducing crime, drug addiction, and juvenile drug use -- have not been achieved, even after nearly four decades of a policy of "war on drugs". This policy, fueled by over a trillion of our tax dollars has had little or no effect on the levels of drug addiction among our fellow citizens, but has instead resulted in a tremendous increase in crime and in the numbers of Americans in our prisons and jails. With 4.6% of the world's population, America today has 22.5% of the worlds prisoners. But, after all that time, after all the destroyed lives and after all the wasted resources, prohibited drugs today are cheaper, stronger, and easier to get than they were thirty-five years ago at the beginning of the so-called "war on drugs"...LEAP

How would the kid know that the guy pointing the gun in his face was a cop?

And was this in the "inner city"?

You beat me to that observation. It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling when the police spend lots of their time and the court's time pursuing two bit drug dealers, while reports of purse snatchings and burglaries are just sleep-walked through as basically unsolvable. Not.

Drug dealers who sell drugs to minors are not doing something petty or insignificant.

Two bits my ass.
