Huh?

I agree this was a bad PR move, but a company certainly has a right to sell products to whomever they choose. They aren't price fixing, just trying to protect other retailers from the price wars.

This is how it was taught to me at B school back in the early 70s and my memory of the court rulings in the 80s.  It may have changed since, but I don't think so.

If I sell you a piece of merchandise for $200 and tell you that you can't charge a dollar less than $400, that is clearly price fixing.
