I can understand locking down the adjacent junior high, but I wonder why they locked down an entire other high school. Probably just in case it was part of some mass terrorist plot or something.

They locked down several schools.

Part of the problem apparently is that the kids left so fast that most of the cell phones are in the kids' backpacks in the now empty school...which is leading to further parental frustrations .

The parents can not call their kids to check on their status.

This is horrible. Prayers for a safe ending and vicious persecution of the guilty.

If you go to Google News and search on "school threat" there seems to be several publik skhool-related problems today.

Yes. My father taught in Jefferson County when Columbine happened. Though his high school was at the opposite end of the county, they still went on unnanounced lockdown for fear it was an organized attack.
