I think that is one of the reasons I like her so much. I like to think that she outsmarted the King. The only sad part is that she never married and had a family of her own. She did have the undying love and respect of Henry's children so that had to compensate for something. Queen Mary had her buried with honors and ceremony as a token of her love for the woman who was, for very short time, her stepmother.

I wonder, was there really a romance between Anne and Hans? And when he painted her portrait was he a man in love? Was he looking at her through the eyes of love and seeing something that wasn't there? Nah, I don't think so.:O)
