Young David The Orator Fires Up The Democrats (Wellstone funeral-like moment)
StarTribune ^ | 9/25/06 | Doug Grow

The kid shocked everyone in the place -- including himself. On the eve of the Sept. 12 primary, Keith Ellison asked 15-year-old David Gilbert-Pederson to introduce him at a get-out-the vote rally for Ellison's congressional bid.

"I kept asking him for stats that I could use in the introduction," David said. "I wanted to know some specifics about how much we're spending on the war, that sort of thing. Keith said, 'I'm not telling you stats. Speak from the heart and people will listen.' "

As it turned out, the audience didn't just listen. They roared as, before their eyes, this kid grew into stage-pacing, fist-pumping orator.

If they knocked on enough doors, he was telling them, if they urged enough people to get to the polls, if they believed and worked, they could make history by sending Ellison to Congress! His hands, his body, his words were in rhythm.

And none of this, he said, was really planned. He had planned to quietly -- and quickly -- introduce Ellison, whom he considers a friend, then step aside.

But the moment turned magic. The more he talked, the more the crowd got involved.

The Twin Cities Communist community is absolutely thrilled to no end that they will be sending Keith Ellison to the US House of Representatives. Not because he's the best candidate for the job. Just because he will be the first Muslim from any state to go the House. Just because it will be so "cool".......

They so loved old mouth-breather Sabo...
Every year, he introduced his silly legislation tying the highest and lowest paid employees of publicly traded companies to some bizarre ratio...

David Gilbert-Pederson

Is it me or do hyphenated last names seem to be a liberal feminazi tool to neuter their male offspring????

Actually, I like the hyphenating. At least you know, going in, what you're dealing with.

I am aware that some women will hyphenate their names after marriage. I was referring to hyphenating the names of their offspring. I seriously doubt that 15 year old David Gilbert-Pederson is announcing to the world that he is a married woman!

I don't. What else would you call a teenager who hangs out with members of the Nation of Islam?

Uh huh...

"Firing up the Democrats" is exactly like "infuriating the Muslims".

Anybody can do it.

Considering which candidate we're talking about...at any moment during the kid's spiel, was there a word that sounded like "Jooooooooooooooos"?
