Go find Charlotte on a map of NC. Then look a bit to the southwest and you'll see Hendersonville. For Hoke County, I looked up where the courthouse is. A town called Raeford. You'll see it to the southeast from Charlotte.
I ran mapquest and it's 230 miles from Raeford to Hendersonville.
I will guess that both places get Charlotte TV stations. but that is just a guess.
Clearly the same media market. I mean, who would even think to put deer parts in mailboxes? He'd had to hear it somewhere before.
