Years ago, I fired a .45 auto Colt. Holy smokes, sounded and felt like a cannon going off!

Naw, shoot a .44 magnum for awhile -- that'll put the .45 acp into better perspective. The 1911 pistol and .45 acp ammo are a perfect marriage.

Saw a 44. revolver in the Orvis store a couple of weeks ago. Wow. That is one BIG handgun! Daggum barrel was nearly as long as my leg!
