>>There aren’t a billion layers and it isn’t solid rock. You can actually go and look for yourself, bend over and scrape a handful of dirt from anywhere in the canyon. Take the mule ride for a close look from top to bottom.<<

I think I’ll trust the scientists on this - they say the lowest layers test at over a billion years old and they come from all over the world to study the layers or rock. They may also be surface soils, that would be natural from all that decayed rock.

This is a perfect example of the reaching one has to do believe in an earth a few thousand years old. You have to reject dozens of different scientific disciplines not just evolution.

How do you test rock for age? Carbon 14 is supposed to test ORGANIC sources. If you look at the origins of the geologic column, you will see it was made up from whole cloth and displays circular logic. Ergo the "scientists" spend decades making claims and counter claims about when something lived and when it died because it was found in such and such layer. One rock is supposed to be billions of years old and the same rock is found on the surface of some mountain. The guides at the Canyon tell you the rock is that old because of where it is found in the layers of rock. The truth is, they don't know.

A little "Googling" will find you hundreds of examples of carbon 14 tests known to be false. There was a case in Texas where a fossilized foot was found in cowboy boot made in the 1950's. Look up Iran Texas for that one.

If a scientist is an atheist, he will lie to you to protect his religion. Bill Orielly calls it spin. It's still false and doesn't forward true science.

In the last decade, a female scientist, published, and a tenured professor, proved that humans didn't migrate from the Bering Strait southward as had previously been thought. She "proved" that there were earlier settlements in South America that were of an advance race BEFORE the "knuckle dragger's" were thought to have come across. After the facts were made public, she was proved right, but she lost her grant money, was ostracized, and lost her job. These "facts" are collected in a file called anomalies. Nobody can explain them, because they don't fit the religion that is taught in school. There is an iron hammer that was embedded in coal deposits allegedly million of years old.

This is why you end up with space alien stories because scientists can't fathom intelligent beings that lived BEFORE the so called "cave men". We have stories of ancient batteries( carbon and zinc, not copper in a lemon) intricate clocks, navigation devices, all sorts of inventions, but the age is pre history. There is even a theory out that the Sphinx in Egypt wasn't built in the same age as the pyramids. The wear lines on the sides go horizontally like a flood eroded them instead of rain like on the pyramids.

The fact that I don't buy every crackpot theory some scientists come up with doesn't make me a religious nut. I just don't believe every crackpot theory that changes every decade or two. Remember saccharin causes cancer, they sell it now. Remember silicone boobs cause every illness a woman can get, they sell them again. Remember stents are better than bypass, well wait for the latest stats. Remember "global cooling"? They aren't even sure if oil come from pre history or not now. Try to even figure how many planets there are now. Some say 8 because Pluto doesn't count, others say many more because Pluto and other bodies do count that revolve around the Sun. How many planets are your children going to be taught there is? I bet they will learn how to get a rubber on a cucumber in 3 seconds, but they won't learn that a fetus kicking inside a womans belly is a human. There is talk now that the speed of light is slowing down and has been measured. They will probably prove bacon doesn't cause heart attacks and cloresterol isn't what clogs your veins. Some are saying your arteries are being irritated by some substances that causes the buildup.

No science is a fluid thing that seems to change with the political needs of the times. I was taught it was based on facts, but now I'm supposed to believe what someone tells me because they went to school and get government grants. There are many theories, some even interesting, but few facts. I'm willing to read anything, but I'm skeptical of things that seem too convenient. The truth is, they don't know, they weren't there. If you make this your religion, you will be changing chapter and verse your whole life. My wife asks me why I save all my old encyclopedia's. I tell her it reminds me how many belief's have changed and how many out right lies were told for decades. I have books from the '30's '50's and '70's, and most of them still talk of "Piltdown Man", "Java Man", etc. Only the latest ones will mention they were lies. Lucy is still talked about today and they admit the bones were found at different levels, thousands of feet apart. They still talk as if Neanderthal was BEFORE modern man even though both were found in the same cave at the same level apparently living at the same time. That's just another one of those "anomalies" they can't or won't explain.

If I told you I were a scientist and Negro's were inferior and a throwback to modern man, I could prove it by looking at their features compared to apes and such, but you would call me a racist pig. Well that's just what the evolutionists said and did and are still doing today. It gave them the ammo to fuel racism culminating in Adolf Hitler and the KKK.

To convince me of evolution, they will have to explain why apes didn't evolve, why alligators are "millions of years old without changing, why the cockroach never made it to be a butterfly. There is ZERO proof of anything changing to anything else, no matter what the time period. I believe there was a explosion of species, but only some survive to today, but an ape was an ape, and a man was a man from the beginning. If you are looking at a fossil, you are most likely looking at the one that didn't make it.
