As for Rosie O'donnell, I happened to click into The View yesterday as Clay Aiken was being introduced, so of course I settled in to watch.
Rosie led in the interview and everything was all about Rosie. She asked about his new hair cut, by showing a picture of her disasterous hair cut from years ago. She asked about his nerves, by discussing the medication she takes. She asked about how fame has affected him, by giving an account of how she handled it. All about Rosie, I bet he said one word for every ten of hers, and the other View women didn't get to say anything at all.
Barbara Walters wasn't there, so I don't know if Rosie is allowed such self-indulgence normally. But yesterday it looked as if the needy Rosie has highjacked The View.
From time to time, I have clicked through the TV channels and watched The View for a few moments. One show had Rosie monopolizing the conversation. BaBa Walters did not look pleased...and her body language suggested that Rosie shut the heck up.
TV is such a waste of time...I admit I can't help watching it a bit too much. The fact that many women watch The View every week day (no matter who is on) and take the shamelessly liberal views of the hostesses seriously is pathetic.
